All about Lowes Coupon Policy

Nov 15 2011

I’ve been in the Lowes food stores and successfully used their Lowes coupon offers to save on my grocery bills several times. Their coupon policy has always been much more lenient and flexible than those at other competitors’ like KMART. They will accept coupons from magazines, manufacturers, and mailers. On some occasions, they’ve even accepted my Lowes printable coupon codes and competitors’ coupons! Today, we share with you the specific coupon policies at work in Lowes stores and what you should keep in mind when you redeem Lowes coupons.

  • Lowes will never accept photocopied coupons. They will only take the originals.
  • You can never (and I’ve tried…) use a coupon that amounts to more than the item price of what you are purchasing. Even if your coupons exceed the item amount, you will never be given ‘cash back.’
  • Yes, your item has to EXACTLY match the type, size, and kind described on your coupon. Lowes is very strict about this.
  • You can only use one coupon for every item that you purchase. If you are buying multiple items of the same type, only 4 coupons maximum can be used for 4 identical products being bought.

Lowes Internet Printed Coupons

If you look around online, you’ll find dozens of coupon codes floating around. Some of these are expired, while the others aren’t. However, once it comes to using them for your purchase, you’ll be surprised to find that Lowes, in person, does not accept most of the online Lowes coupon code offers. Only coupons printed online that adhere with their industrial standards will be accepted. This means that it should have a unique serial number, expiration date, the specific statement ‘Manufacturer’s Coupon,’ and a scannable barcode. It mustn’t be copied and should be legible.

Here’s another top tip not many Lowes shoppers are aware of. They will accept the ‘Buy One Get One’ printed coupons, but the other ‘Free’ type is no longer accepted at Lowes. Furthermore, you can only redeem two Lowes coupons printed from online on identical items each day.

One of the coolest things about their coupon policy is how they even accept certain coupons from COMPETITORS! These are the ones you’ll find in circulars and direct mail and can take off several dollars from your bill at Lowes. The stores that are covered under this umbrella coupon scheme include Harris Teeter, Kroger, Super K-Mart, Super Target, Wal-mart, Food Lion, and Bi-Lo. However, Lowes does not accept coupons from competitors for particular products or any other stores’ printable Internet coupons. However, on Catalina coupons, Lowes will accept them even if they are from another store. This applies as long as you meet purchase demands and allow them to scan your coupon.

These are the Lowes coupon policies as of October 2011. However, remember that store policies keep on changing regularly. I have made it a habit to refer back to retailers’ official websites every 6 months or before I try to use one of their coupons to make sure they have not altered their policies. You should start taking advantage of your Lowes coupon offers too.
